How do I know if I'm allergic to something?

Im allergic to something but i dont know what it is?

  • my face gets dry and itchy when i put sunscreen on, and when i use some types of face wash.hydrocortisone fixes my problem but, i wanna know what im allergic to.

    To find what you are allergic to, you have to "rule-out" all possibilities. When you use the hydrocortisone and the problem is resolved, stop using the facial products for a couple of weeks. Only wash your face with water. Next you can add facial products including soaps and cleaners ONE at a time. Use only that one product for a week or so. If your skin doesn't get dry and itchy then it is okay to use that product. But keep trying the products one at a time until you find the once that causes the dryness and itching, and wahhhh lah...you found the one that causes the problem and you know not to use it!

i am allergic to a lot of kinds of sunscreen especially the scented ones so it might be sunscreen but then again i am also allergic to a lot of kinds of face wash for sunscreen Coppertone sunscreen Clearasil for face wash or you can stop using it all together and see if goes away you could also try one at a time and the see what causes it try an Allergy test

Maybe you should read the ingredients on the bottles of face wash you use. Also, think back to what you eat. Maybe it's something new that you're having a reaction to.

see your doctor who can refer you to the hospital where they can do several tests on you to see what you are allergic to.
