How do I get rid of a congested nose?

HOW TO GET RID OF A CONGESTED NOSE FAST!!!!!! PLZ HELP!!?

  • I have a REALLY congested nose and it's really bothering me whenever I go to sleep. My dad bought me nasal strips and arieus medicine, but that doesn't work. I have literally tried everything!!!! its frustrated me to the point where i CANNOT sleep at all.. I have even aksed my dad to let me get allergy shots, but he said no. Please help me! I will literally try anything!!!!!

    There is this medecine in Canada (not sure where your from) thats called Dristand. Its a nasal spray and it gets the job done fast. You basically just snort a spray or two and it clears your nose for 12 hours. I have used it and its pretty good. Its not perscribed or anything so you should be fine. Im also not sure if its in the USA, but it probably is :). But i think continued use will eventually give you even MORE mucus. Hope it helps!

I think you have allergies. Get the rugs, stuffed animals, decorative pillows and any potted live plants or silk flowers, scented candles and pets out of your room. Wash your pillowcases, blankets, sheets and curtains. Dust, wash woodwork, vacuum and wipe down everything in the room. Get a dehumidifier if you have a mold problem anywhere. Probably the air is pretty dry since it is winter, so mold is less likely this time of year. Don't use over-the-counter sinus medications. You need to ask a doctor about your symptoms. You can't know if allergy shots are what you need, or not. Most of the time you can just avoid things that make you stuffy(see above). Saline nasal spray(just salt water in a bottle, not a medicine) is cheap and helps. If you want to try a neti pot, that could also help. Ginger tea, candied ginger, spicy foods that have hot pepper in them can also help clear your sinuses.

If you can go to a chiropractor my dad is one and i had horrble congestion last night! he got me on some good vitamins and an adjustment is always good!! try not to take to many meds or any thing also there is a thing called a neti pot look it up I have never used it my self but even my neice who is 6 tried it and it worked great!!
