I have a swollen eye from allergies.

Help! Really swollen eye from allergies...!?

• Hi! I think I am allergic to our hamster (we just got it) because after playing with her, I started sneezing and my eyes felt a little itchy. I scratched my left one a little which was a bad idea because I'm allergic! (most likely) and now it looks slightly puffy, swollen, and blueish red. I don't know what to do!!! I am allergic to fruit pectin, so I can't use cucumbers, and I have already tried ice, cold water, milk, and eye drops. None of them worked! Please help me :( I am only thirteen and I don't want to have it at school tomorrow :(

  well unfortunately it takes awhile to go away. I had it last week and i just put ice on it for 5 mins and than I used an eye bath (you can get them from pharmacies) its a small cup that you put eyewash in and than tilt your head back and lets you eyes soak for a couple of seconds. Other than that the best cure is to lay down and rest your eyes. Watching tv and looking at the computer doesnt help your eye as it strains it so just try to keep you eyes rested. Mine went away after the 2nd day
