Why do your eyes get red when you're tired?

My eyes get drowsy and tired how do i stop this?

  • i get really drowsy eyes and they get bags under them but i get enough sleep. its really annoying it happens when im not even tired, is there anyway i can stop this from happening?

Allergies make mine like that alot. I use visine lubricating tears drops to make them feel better. Eye Dr. said regular visine shouldn't be used everyday because of the medicine in it but the tears formula can. Cold eye mask in the morning help with bags. You can even put a spoon in the fridge & put it on your eyes in the morning to get rid of bags & wake them up.

i don't think you are getting enough sleep.. everyone requires different amounts of time for sleep, so saying you slept for 7 hours may be enough for one person but not enough for you

1-sleep more 2-i've heard of creams/patches that supposedly help that. check out cvs

this happens to me too. what i have to do is put a cold rag on my eyes for about 5 mins. or so.
