Has anyone had an allergic reaction to pro-active?
-
im allergic to benzoyl peroxide so i dont use proactive, but my friend who is also allergic to that ingredient uses it because she says that the fact that the benzoyl peroxide in pro active is "finely milled" makes it more gentle than over the counter products. so i was thinking maybe i should too but i was wondering if anyone else has had an alergic reaction to pro active esp. if you already know that you have sensitive skin to BP. thanks a bunch!

Answer:
If you are allergic to benzoyl peroxide, it is probably best to avoid it. I'm not sure the fact that it is "finely milled" would keep you from having a reaction. If you want to treat your acne, try cleaning your skin with an over-the-counter salicylic acid solution. This may dry out your skin though, so you might want to use a moisturizer on your face as well.
