Why do you get a bloody nose?

Everytime I eat cinnamon doughnuts I get a bloody nose the next day? Why?

• about once a month I eat a couple cinnamon doughnuts and I always get minor nose bleeds for the next 48 hours or so. But I read online that sniffing cinnamon is supposed to stop bloody noses (even though I never sniffed the cinnamon, I just ate the cinnamon doughnuts). So why would it make my nose bleed?

  Cinnamon helps the body metabolize sugar much like an insulin, if you're having nosebleeds I wouldn't know what to say about that, perhaps you should test yourself for diabetes. You could also be having a stomach complication from the strong spice or perhaps just a run of the mill allergy.. I'm not really a good diagnostician, so I'd say get a doctor's visit and ask them what's up with the cinnamon reaction, they'll probably have a much clearer explanation than I can give. I've researched cinnamon up down left and right and never once have I heard about it causing nosebleeds, or any other hazardous complications... That is unless they're doing something along the lines of the 'cinnamon' challenge, which often causes a nosebleed that'll last for quite some time, perhaps you just need to add more liquids to your diet when you're eating cinnamon.
