Why is my left eye very itchy near the tear duct?

I have pink under my left eye. Really itches and it is now suddenly getting crusty?

    It sounds just like pink eye, or at least an eye infection. Make an appointment with an eye doctor as soon as possible. It is contagious, so imagine your sleeping on your pillow, the germs get on it, it get to your other eye, someone grabs your pillow, touches their eye, gets it, and so on. Plus, without antibiotics, it may get really bad. Plus, you want antibiotics so you aren't uncomfortable. Good luck! (:

You really need to get to the eye doctor because if it is pink eye, it is contagious and will spread to both eyes and you need antibiotics. Itchy and crusty are not very good signs, hopefully it is just allergies, but it is better safe than sorry. If allergies, they may give you an eye drop with a steroid in it to reduce the inflammation.
