Can dizziness be caused by my seasonally allergies?

Allergies and Dizziness?

  • Ok so I have had a bad stuffy nose every morning I have to blow my nose for about 5 minutes of just clear watery snot and have had a constant stuffy nose all day every day. This has been going on for about 4 years I just lived with it. 2.5 years ago the dizziness started. Not pass out dizzy but not qwite spinning just off balance almost bobble head. I have had every test you could think of been to Mayo everywhere. Anyway now after I pretty much forced my crap doctor to hear me about my stuffy nose he says of course a stuffy nose/allergies could cause dizziness. Anyway Im just looking to hear experiences about this as Im kind of mad my doctor just thought of this.

  • Answer:

Does "every test you could think of" include the scratch tests for allergies? If not, I suggest you find a good allergist posthaste and endure yet another round of testing and follow up with immunotherapy. I don't think I would ask that doctor, who doesn't seem to listen to you, to recommend the allergist. Yes, I used to have intermittent bouts of dizziness when my allergies were bad. Unfortunately, many doctors dismiss the seriousness of allergies.
