Bad news chica....dust mites are too small to bite. They snack on dead skin cells and have absolutely NO reason to bite you anyway. While everyone (EVERYONE) has dust mites on their bed, not all of them have....fleas. They're the most likely culprit.

Try a steriod topical cream. Also, wash everything in HOT water on a weekly basis. Get some good pillow covers that are allergen proof as well as a mattress cover. Make sure they are the covers tht have the zipper. IF you have carpet, clean it with an allergen based cleaner also.

Hoover and hoover regularly. There are special hoovers you can buy that are particularly good at dealing with this problem. Also hoover your mattress and turn it once a fortnight. Cover it with special dust mite protector sheet. Don't forget to hoover your curtains and upholstery too. It is better if you can have surfaces that you can wipe down with a damp cloth regularly. Wooden floors are best for allergy sufferers and they don't harbor the dirt that even the cleanest looking carpets do. If you have a lot of plants in the house wipe these down too. Anywhere that Cd's or books are stored try to make sure they are behind glass or inside a cupboard or you'll need to wipe these down frequently too. Obviously you'll need to dust down each day, though with a damp cloth otherwise the dust just gets flicked around. Also it is a good idea to wear a mask when dusting down otherwise you'll be inhaling it. Hope this helps.
