Does anyone know about snake bites?

I have itchy bug bites from a lake that aren't misquote bites. does anyone know what they are?

  • I was swimming in a small lake in traverse city. i was a little itchy while i was swimming but i could not see any bites or anything. i got home and the next morning i had red bites all over. they were on my stomach, legs, and arm (all the parts that were exposed to the water). they are very itchy and look like misquote bites but i know they aren't. does anyone know what they could be?

    Swimmer's Itch? I saw this on the St. Clair County webste I was swimming in a lake and developed what my neighbor called swimmers itch. What should I do? Contact your health care provider for treatment. Contact our department to report when and where you went swimming. What is swimmers itch anyway? Swimmers itch usually refers to a rash caused by a little parasite that burrows under your skin and dies. To avoid the rash, you should shower immediately after leaving the water and towel dry and put on some dry clothes. Try to remove little water droplets before they dry on your skin. The little parasite lives in the water and can survive in a water droplet long enough to burrow under your skin.

We go to the lake here all the time. I sometimes get the same symptoms that you describe...soooo...I did a little research. We live in an area with A LOT of lakes and nearly everyone experiences something like this at some point. i donno how to spell it they are called "no see ums" is how you pronounce it.. you dont feel them biting but the next day they itch sooo bad
