How many calories should i eat a day? i want to lose weight.?

  • i want to lose 69 lbs by september, i walk 20 minutes a day, i don't have time for any other working out on a daily basis, i don't know how many calories i eat a day now, i have never counted them, but i have 69 lbs to lose, and i want to lose it by sept, now i saw that show on we tv, the I want to save your life where all 3 people lost a lot of weight in 22 weeks & 17 weeks, i mean one lost 40 lbs, one lost 105, one lost 60, that's a lot in a little amount of time, and he told them to count calories, so i'm thinking of doing that, i have lost all but the last 69 lbs, yes i was a chunk-er wanna see? this was me on my wedding day 12/15/2006 http://i579.photobucket.com/albums/ss237/allaboutmyday/meweddingday12152006.jpg me when i decided i was way too big 5/19/08 http://i579.photobucket.com/albums/ss237/allaboutmyday/meatmylowest5192008.jpg and now me in march of this year (i'm the one in fur obviously) http://i579.photobucket.com/albums/ss237/allaboutmyday/usairportmarch292009.jpg now i have lost well over 100 lbs but i worked hard, i starved myself, i did 250 crunches a day, i walked 2 hours a day, but now i don't have time for that, i have just taken a job, as i have finished school & it's 12 hour days, with an hour drive to & from, so 14 hour days, 5 days a week, it's a desk job, so no walking around, and it's on the first floor so no stairs, i get 30 min for lunch, and 2 (15 min) breaks, can't leave the grounds thank you for any and all help you can give me in this matter. thank you so much. and if you know any little tricks i can do while at the desk i'm all ears. thank you.

Thanks for answering my question :-). What worked for me was a low carb diet limiting 20 carbs a day. No bread &pasta or anything that contains a lot of carbs. Basically eat all veggies, meat,egg whites and VERY few low sugar fruits. You can mix and match ur foods if you like. Also try to eat your carbs before 2pm. I choose a slice of toast at breakfast with scrambled egg whites 1 yoke spinich and a little cheddar cheese As for working out. Go to walmart and buy a elliptical. They run from 70.00 and up. And take that 20 minutes u have and workout on that. And change the resistance to YOUR comfort. Start at level 1 for a warm up and change intervals every 5 mins. Don't work yourself too hard until the 2nd or 3rd week. The weight should drop like crazy. Its going to be rough for the 1st 3 days but if you stick it out you will live the results. Also if at all possible try to lift a few reps n crunches. Don't forget the 64 oz of water too. I hope that this help. Email me if you have questions. [email protected]

Ok well good luck on your goal and I do think its doable but its going to be hard to exercise enough with your schedule. Congrats on the weightloss so far. Heres a calculator that could give you an idea on calories. You may have to fine tune it. Try to eat 6 SMALL meals a day and make sure you get enough protein. Eating those meals that way will keep your metabolism going. Might be good if you could make yourself do some tabata 3 times a week before work too. Heres a video of an example. You dont have to do that routine but its a good one. You can make your own. well its dangerous to undereat, so stick to with 1800-2000 calories. if you dont get enough calories your body starts storing everything as fat. you can cut out on bread, i know someone who lost 2 stone just by cutting out bread. eat bananas because they speed up metabolism. cut out all fatty foods, sugary snacks, eg chocolate, burgers, sugary drinks etc if you ever have spare time at home put on a cd and dance! hope i helped good luck :)
