How much weight will i lose on a 7 day water fast?

i'm 15, 5,'4' and 142 lbs and i want to lose 20 lbs.. i've been dieting for 4 weeks now and have lost 14 lbs i want to try a water fast now though so how much weight do you think i will lose in the 7 days? thanks!

Water fasts have been used and prescribed by traditional healers in numerous cultures for thousands of years. However, the primary goal is the flushing of toxins and allowing the body to self-heal, because the enormous amount of energy the body uses to digest food is curbed towards healing itself in the absence of caloric intake. Weight loss is a secondary bonus, but you have to get in the mindset of changing your life habits in order for it to be beneficial. But enough blabbing, you will lose about 7-10 pounds in 7 days. HOWEVER, be sure to eat cooked/steamed vegetables, broth, and fruit/veggie juice for about a week after your fast, then graduate to raw fruits/veggies. Put meat back in your diet about 2 weeks after. Good Luck! AND PUT ABOUT HALF A TEASPOON OF SEA SALT IN A LITER OF WATER A DAY -> it will make sure that you have electrolytes that are necessary for brain and nervous function. Oh, also: -Starving and fasting are completely different things... -It is not stupid... -You won't die unless you deplete electrolytes, half teaspoon of salt in a liter of water helps... -Look at the research, water fasting is medically beneficial...

I've tried it, its really hard to keep up with because after a while of drinking so much water every time you get hungry, water will start to taste nasty. And this diet becomes hard to do because of hunger pains you get from not eating. When I tried it, I could only do it for 2 days MAX, and I lost a total of 4 and 1/2 pounds in those 2 days. So if you are going for a week, I'd say you could loose close to 10 pounds. Now, seriously speaking though, the first meal you eat after this water fast, some of that weight will bounce right back. Because your body will go into starvation mode, and as soon as your body gets food back into it, you'll gain more weight. So, instead of water only, if you really want to do this fast. I would drink fruit/vegetable drinks, OJ, milk, or anything else that is liquid and is food based and that has some nutritional value to it so this diet wont become completely unhealthy. Drink something for example, the SlimFast meal replacement drinks, because they do work at stalling hunger so you wont get hunger pains, and this is just my opinion, but they taste good. :) And you'll actually loose MORE weight if you work out while hungry. So drinking those meal replacement drinks, then going to the gym will make you SHED the pounds off SO FAST. And those drinks tend to low in calories, so you don't have to burn a lot of calories at the gym. You also loose more weight as well, if you are negative in calories. For example, you drink one of those meal replacement drinks, which are about 100-150 cals per bottle (huge ballpark guess-tament) then you go to the gym and you burn 300 calories you will be negative 200 - 150 calories, which will make you loose weight, because you are burning left-over calories from the other day (negative).

In contrary, In case to lose weight our body needs a lot of water. Minimum is 8 glass per day :) To lose 20 Lbs you need a great meal plan and exercises. Maybe this one will help.

Water fasting is a horrible idea. You'll be depriving yourself of the nutrients that your body needs to function correctly; it'll ultimately hurt you :P Hopefully the one you were on was healthy.. Instead, combine exercise with your diet now. Maybe a mile or 2 a day will do it. But remember, if you do choose to exercise, you NEED to keep a healthy diet. Crash diets are bad.

I'm not sure how much you'll lose but i can tell you its not a good idea. Because however much you'll lose, you'll gain it right back once you start eating again. i think you would lose maybe 5 lbs? I suggest to just eat healthy and excercise, if you want to lose weight. Hope i helped! ;D

The MOST important thing is to eat naturally..without medicines, chemicals, "starving" your self etc. first, it would be best for you to eat as healthy as possible..this will also help you considerably to lose weight gradually and naturally.. eat fresh fruits, vegetables, drink plenty of WATER..avoid all cokes, caffeines, smoking, alchohol etc. as these also add weight as well as they contain chemicals which disturb your natural bio rythmns as well as brain chemistry. try not to eat too much meat, and the meat you should eat should be "lean meat" such as steamed chicken and rice, or steamed fish with rice..and vegetables,, this should be your staple diet rice and vegetables with fruits..AVOID "JUNK FOOD" and "Fast Food" as this type of food is very unhealthy, lacking in vitamins really and has plenty of fattening molecules which make one gain weight and is not good . if you snack,, try fruits with yogurt or fruit yogurt and nuts.. nuts are very healthy for your body .and contain proteins. go for walks every evening or morning or whenever you get time each day for 1 hour or 2 hours..make this somewhere you enjoy walking even if you have to drive a bit to there..and make this a daily routine..you will enjoy it once you get into it ..and it makes you feel great after..just walking for 1 hour or 2 hours. if you do this..every day for one month ..you should lose around 10 pounds (.714 stone) per month until you get to your natural healthy weight.. look up on the internet for an idea of what your weight for your height should be ..and when you get to this weight,,your body will look very nice and you will feel very good. 10 pounds (.714 stone ) each month in 3 months you should lose 30 pounds (2 stones, 2 pounds)..for sure...but no junk food and dont drink alcohol or smoke, dont eat junk..just healthy food with vitamins and walking 1 hour or 2 hours every day..and drink plenty of water..this is guaranteed way to lose weight naturally and for good, if you stick to this, which you should,,as it makes you feel so much more positive due to the vitamins and lack of chemicals making you feel depressed... btw, forgot to mention,,just in case you dont know how to really make healthy meals..buy a "food steamer" at your local deparment store..they are very cheap and work very well..as well as buy a "rice cooker" which is also very cheap..eating rice is a great way to get your necessary carbs "healthy carbs" to lose weight and has lots of natural energy inside. you can buy asian rice at most large supermarkets or if you have a local oriental market..they sale quality asian rice.. thai or indian rice is good "jasmine rice".. buy corn or canola oil to sprinkle on vegetables or rice before steaming to add to taste as well as you can buy several nice spices like "cumin" or "Curry powders", etc.just sprinkle on the vegetables before steaming to give nice taste. drink "Green Tea" as this is very healthy and helps burn extra fat faster...you can buy quality green tea at most oriental shops or large supermarkets as well
you'll gain not lose 14 lbs because that's a fad diet and u gain double after it due to insufficient amount of nutrition so you'll basically attack food
