13 Year old diet HELP!! Want to lose weight 10 points?

  • I weigh approximately 150lb and i want to get down to 120 or so by the summer. I am 13 yeas old and i am only 5' 0 and i want to get taller. My dad said i wont grow a lot if i am over weight. And i dont want to stay fat and have a heart attack or get diabeties (thers a history of this in my family). Yesterday my family orderd pizza. Nomally i would have 2 or 3 slices. Yesterday i had 1 and a glas of water. My parents kept telling me to eat more!! omg and i kept saying no im on diet and your just making it harder for me!! My brother was really skinny for about a year (when he was like 10 he was fat, then when he was like 13 he started getting really skinny. When he wa 16 he started eating 3 packets of crisps a day, 2 big bottles of cola, and 2 chocolate bars!! now he weighs 210+ and he gained it over 1 year!!! lime 4 stones iin a year. Yesterday i swear he ate 8 slices of pizza. Im scared my family will alll get fat and when i say lets all get on a diet they laugh at me! So now im on a diet and i want to lose like 30 lb or more if i work hard... Yesterdsay this is what i ate. Breakfast-10:00-glass of milk Lunch-3:00-1 slice of pizza Dinner-7:30-1 slice of pizza How many calories was that do you think? Is it ok for me to have 160 cals a day if i want to lose weight? Do people who just starve themselves lose weight? (not saying that im going to lol) If i cut down portions, have 160 cals a day, 45 minutes excersixe a day (i walk dogs in my neigbourhood) how long will it take me to lose 30-40lb?

Don't starve yourself since the body will start to create fat and then you'll gain weight. Eat at least 1000 calories a day to prevent your body from making fat "since it sense that there is lack of food' plus, Eating Pizza all day will make you unhealthy... eat something else.

You have got to do lots of exercise, go for a run or jog in the morning. It would be ideal if you have a dog or could get one? You can't eat pizza it's really bad for you, and has loads of fat in it. Go online to see if you can find a dietary plan, but personally talking to a dietitian would be the way to go. Sorry just realised you mentioned dogs....excellent, thats a good way to go :P

Okay, firstly what you ate yesterday isnt a good diet plan! eat your meals at the same time everyday and dont eat too late in the evening. This would be a perfect meal plan breakfast- cereals or toast (without butter or jam!) and a glass of juice or water (water will never add calories, it helps to loose weight and you should drink at least 8 glasses a day) perhaps some fruit as well. lunch- sandwiches with something healthy in, eg. ham or cheese, little butter or margerine. fruit, perhaps some tomatoes, salad etc. dinner- eat before 7!!!!!!! it helps digestion etc. have a medium sized portion of something with veg!!! (it doesnt have to be horrible veg, somthing like sweet potatoes or butternut squash is lovely!!!) snacks- try to snack on fruit, try carrot sticks! you can snack on any amount of fruit and veg as you want without gaining calories or fat! drinks- juice or squash 160 cals a day is awful, you will die!!! The average guidlines is about 1940 for women and 2550 for men! you need cals for your body to function and digest and respire etc. just dont go over the limit!! the excercise is brilliant though, good for you!! with this plan, normal size portions, no seconds, loads of water you should notice a difference with a week or so. in a couple of months it will be really obvious, plus you'll feel happier! remember you dont have to give up sweets/chocolate, just limit yourself to one or two a week!! your family probably just dont beleive you, in a couple of weeks into ur diet im sure they will take you seriously and maybe even join you! this took me about 20 mins to write, please vote me best answer if I helped!!!! good luck!!!!

I won't usually give advice to people under 16 but you sound quite grown up. You still have to eat to lose weight but the secret is is to spread the food out throughout the day. This means- Insterad of 3 large meals you need to eat 5/6 small meals. Pizza is no good for losing weight. Start with a small bowl of porridge at 8.00 11.00 Fruit 13.00 Chicken sandwitch on wholemeal bread. 16.00 Fruit 19.00 Tuna salad. 22.00 Fruit If you parents or you need to ask anymore just e-mail me.

Look, if you want to lose weight you have to do it the healthy way. I wouldn't dare restrict myself to only eating 2 slices of pizza a day. You can comfortably lose a stone in 4 months if you stick to your diet and exercise plan. Just eat healthly and exercise reguarly. For breakfast you could have a low calorie meal but, with enough nutrients to allow you to exerciseand get through the day. You could also just have a bowl of granola or somethign oats and fruit based with skimmed milk. Those 3 dishes equal no more than 600 calories a day maybe even less. So you can still have a treat of chocolate, sweets, ice cream etc... Of course if your willpower will keep youof them good on you but, it's an option you can take if you wish. Another main point is that you exercise more. When walking the dogs run with them for as little as 10 minutes and then walk the rest. Run more if you can, take them the park and run. Join clubs and get involved in more sport To answer your questions: 1. No you shouldn't live on 160 cals a day. You are basically starving your self and will get bad side effects if you continue. You will lose weight fast but, as soon as you eat something your weight will shoot back up. You are better to eat healthy and be healthy. 2. Yes people do starve themselves and normally end up in hospital or in an anoerexia clinic. My friend starved herself ended up in hospital with serverve damage to her body. 3. You could lose weight fast in lose weight terms but, you probably wouldn't be happy because it would take longer than you expected. Weight takes a while to go and you have to work hard at it. Well good luck with losing weight. Don't go over the top and become obsessive or anorexic, bulemic or anythign like. well, my brother is really overweight and he lost like 12 pounds in 3 weeks because everyday he would eat grapefruit and eat more meals a day but only small portions maybe you can try that..oh btw exercise too! for me i weighed 127and got up to 124 ( i'm also 13 but 2 inches taller than you) what i did was eat 2 small apples and a banana everyday(for breakfast) for lunch i made myself a sandwich with white turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, and light or fat free mayonaise. (bread is wheat) and for dinner you can eat soup( i dont really eat dinner though). if you don't have these buy it and if your embarassed and all just eat a little of what your family eats but you might get hungry so drink lots of water, and some food that doesn't have alot of calories.(exercise too..whenever you hear music dance until its finish..or everyday do like 20 jump and jacks) i recommend to eat like 1300 calories. ^^ try to get grapefruit..

Just eat more fruits and vegetables and less white bread, white rice, white potatoes, sweets and processed foods. Eat small portions every few hours to speed up your metabolism. Excercise for at least 20-30 minutes a day and drink 8 glasses of water. Lastly, stop eating at least 3 hours before bedtime. So, if you go to bed at 10pm then you should have dinner by 7pm.

Hey, did you know you are more likely to lose wait by eating a little than eating nothing!? And I know youve probably heard it all before but breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so you need to eat something! Why don't you try having a healthy diet with excercise to lose weight? Instead of eating nothing and starving! Try this: Breakfast-Fruit Juice, Cereal+Vitamins Lunch-Healthy Sandwich, Yogurt, Piece of Fruit and something sweet :) and squash Dinner-Pasta/Pizza(with healthy toppings) and water Then for snacks you could have cereal bars or fruit :) It won't take you long if you eat healthily and exercise!
