How can i be more motivated?

How can I get motivated to lose weight?

  • I am really overweight. I just turned 20 yesterday, and I realized that I am super heavy for my size. I don't know any other guys that are this huge. I'm 5' 11.5", and weigh about 245 lbs. This means my BMI is 33.7... obesity is 30, and severe obesity starts at 35. I have been trying to lose weight on and off since early high school. The lowest weight I've ever been at at this height is 170 lbs, in my junior year of high school... but this was when I was not eating for 3 or 4 days at a time. I am currently at my highest weight ever, though I weighed nearly as much as a high school freshman and got down to 220 last summer. It seems like no matter what I do I cannot motivate myself to lose weight. But I know I have to, because my health is already suffering. I found out today that I have high blood pressure (at the age of 20!) and I am also probably at risk for diabetes. I have tried every trick in the book and then some. Healthy or not, I've done all sorts of tips and things, and I just can't keep myself motivated. I do well for a few days or a week, then I fall back into my old habits. I absolutely have to get my life on track. How can I do it?

    OMG SWEETIE <3 !!! you will get there, EVERYONE I MEEN EVERYONE NEEDS MOTIVATION at some point. Please don't put yourself down, 245 isn't that bad. AND NEVER NOT EAT. aww hunny, its okay. look at yourself in the mirror and whats the 1st thing you say? IS IT " eww look at my stomach?" " Ew who am i?" Well your wrong, it should be " WOW, i have a good looking face, now i just need to TONE up my body, to get me looking AND FEELING wonderful" Now, after you have confidence, wake up EVERYDAY and say to yourself, wow look at that sexy dude, Cool i feel healthy today. things like that. Now diet time, TO BE HONEST, its going 2 be very hard 2 start and 2 keep up, BUT YOU WILL GET THERE! DONT STRESS!! 1st week- Eat A LOT OF FRUIT, try to stay away from bread, and other carbs like pasta. Exercises AT LEAST 10 mins a day when you start off, jump rope, treadmill. Make sure you stretch your body before and after AT LEAST 10 mins too ( through out all of the days) After 2 weeks- No more sugar, so no cake, no putting sugar in your coffee- EXERCISES AT LEAST 25 mins 5 times a week. Do A LITTLE running. After 1 month-EAT LOW CARBS AND HIGH PROTEIN, like the protein shakes with a lot of fruit. exercises AT LEAST 30-40 mins 4 times a week. NO MORE THEN 4 TIMES, YOUR BODY WILL BE 2 SORE. Do hard core for your mid section. after your body will be used to working out so now After 2 months- LIFT WEIGHTS ( 5-15 pounds ONLY ) NO MORE, THAT WILL ADD MUSCLE AND THAT WILL ADD POUNDS CUZ THE MUSCLE NEEDS A LITTLE FAT. YOU NEED TO 1ST LOSE WEIGHT THEN TONE UP. SO NOW after 2 months go by, eat a lot of veggies NO CARBS WHAT SO EVER. NO CANDY OR CAKE. try to take FULL BAR, you get at your local drug store, they are bars of ENERGY ( its food ) and they taste great, its a meal re-placer and it gives you more ENERGY to work out. IF YOU WANT ON A HOLIDAY, JUST EAT 2 SLICE'S OF PIZZA, YES you can do this, YOU NEED 2 cheat a little. BUT NO MORE. AND ALSO HAVE WHOLE GRAIN PASTA OR BREAD IF YOU WANT IT, ONCE IN A WHILE. DON'T STARVE YOURSELF, THAT WILL MAKE IT HARDER TO LOSE. EAT A LOT OF YOGURT.ONCE A WEEK Fiber Pills and Always take vitamins. Always be careful. Don't push yourself 2 hard. DONT TAKE RANDOM PILLS, YOU WILL MOST LIKELY GET A STROKE. They also have at a " diet pill place " they have protein shakes for loosing weight, THIS IS EXPENSIVE BUT its a powder you put in with fruit and its tasty for a drink, instead of drinking water. DRINK AT LEAST 5 CUPS OF WATER PER DAY, TEA IS ALWAYS GOOD. BE VERY LOW ON SUGAR. You will do it, it might take more time. DONT STRESS. AND WEIGH YOURSELF AT LEAST 1NCE EVERY 2 WEEKS. AND WRITE IT DOWN. they also have exercise video's you can do. ALSO COOK VERY HEALTHY, WHEN YOU GO OUT TO EAT, YOU DONT HAVE 2 ALWAYS HAVE SALAD. EAT GRILLED CHICKEN. not fried, EAT EGGS, DRINK WHOLE MILK. :] ! google is your friend, so google healthy snacks and recipes, like popcorn, corn on the cob, steak, fish.!!! BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!! Good LUCK ! :] !! EATING IS IMPORTANT SO EAT A LOT OF HEALTHY THINGS ! I HOPE I HELPED A LOT :] !

you should go to your local gym and ask for a trainers help!! he or she can guide you and help you loose some weight the healthy way!!!! =) good luck

Everyone that I've talked to about this subject seem to tell me the same thing. do lots of cadio work. Treadmill, elliptical, etc. You can try that, coupled with a weight loss suppliment such as Hydroxycut Hardcore or Lipo6X or Atro-Phex. All can be found in the vitamin shop. Stop eating dairy , eat lots of fresh fruits and vegtables , eat fish and chicken grilled or baked instead of fried , whole grains , lentils , legumes , avoid sugar, drink lots of water or flavored bottled water instead of soda / pop... Dont eat anything after 7 pm excercise at least three times a week for at least an hour , you probabley want to do cardio for fat burn ...ex... elyptical, treadmill... walking will help but its not gonna get the pounds off quickly but its a good start if you havent worked out before...
