How to make my thighs smaller?

  • Okay, so I am not overweight. I am very thin (NOT underweight, I'm thin and at a very healthy weight) my friends call me a stick but my thighs are big. It's not just me, my friends agree. I have huge thighs. This is because I ride horses, yes. It's muscle, not fat. But I still would like a way to get smaller, tighter thighs. Is that possible considering they are muscle, not fat? Is it possible, or not? If it is, how can I do it?

    Be proud of your muscular thighs! It means you are fit & healthy. Your friends should boost your confidence up, not bring you down and cause you to doubt yourself. Everyones body type is different and it is natural for women's thighs to be larger than their calves - women need more healthy fat than men do. I know this doesn't specifically answer your question, but I am sure you have nothing to worry or be embarrassed about. Everyone is uniquely beautiful! Don't ride horses so much unless you love horseback riding. Follow your bliss no matter what "others" may think about your body image. How YOU think about your body image is the most important thing. If you still want to ride horses, then during off-horse hours, work your upper legs in the opposite way: stand cross legged, kick across, stretch across. Do lots of stretching in your upper legs - think ballerina thin and how much barre work they do on their legs. Talk with a certified fitness coach if that is an option for you. Good luck!

Once you have big muscles the only way to get rid of them is not to use them. So your best bet would probably to try to tighten them up, with squats and lunges. You may want to talk to a fitness instructor about it.
