Can You Lose Weight By Watching What You Eat But With Little Exercise ?

  • I Eat At least 1600 Calories A Day I Used To Eat About 2000+ (Yes I'm Over Weight) So I Decided To Go On A Diet. I Do Eat Healthy Foods And I Count My Calories. I Try Exercising As Much As I Can But I'm Usually Busy. But My Mother Said You Can Lose Weight By Watching What You Eat But You Will Be All Flabby So That's What' Exercise Is For To Tone Up. So Is This True? Thanks:)

    Yes in terms of weight loss diet is way more important than exercise. Although exercise is also important and speeds up the weight loss process the fact of the matter if you want/need to you can lose weight on diet alone with little or no exercise. In fact you could work out a lot and not change your diet and not see very good results. However, dieting and not exercising will give you at least some results. A work out program is about 80% diet and only 20% exercise. I am not saying don't exercise but that is the truth.
