How to get fit over the summer?

  • I'm 4 feet 11.5 inches tall and weigh 130 pounds. I wish to become more fit over the summer break which is 2 months long. Can you all give me input on what kind of workouts and eating habits worked for you?

    DIET Eliminate junk food. Get it out of your house if you have to. Salads are amazing, choose a light vinagrette dressing. Fruits are great, and be colorful. You need some meat,b ut only pieces the size of a deck of cards. 2 of those a day max. Chicken, turkey, or pork are you best bets there. Whole grains are the best. Make sure not to eat too many of these. Whole grain omega enriched pastas are perfect aswell. Drink three glasses of nonfat milk a day. It helps turn fat into muscle. Nonfat yougurt is also good, but some brands have more sugar than others, so take a look at that. After, you exercise, try to eat something. I usually have weaties with milk. Also, an hour before your workout, get some fuel into yourself. Bananas are great for this. Drink pleanty of water throughout the day, but DO NOT overdo it before a workout, because it can give you cramps. EXERCISE Go for 5 miles a day. Start by running as much as you can and walking when you need a break, then run again, walk again . . . .so on, you get the point. By the end of the summer you should be a ble to run the whole thing. If you get really good you can throw in random 15 second sprints. Finally, incorprate more movement into your day. Clean the house, mow the lawn, go for walks with friends, shoot hoops with your family, play badmitton with your neighbors,ect. Good Luck!!!!!!!!

Eat your balanced meals everyday and don't eat in between meals unless you are really hungry. Stay away from sugar. Be active. Even if you walk--do that at least a half hour everyday. Just be active. Move that body around. Do a lot of house work. Wash walls. Give those floors a good scrubbing. Gardening is a good way to use your body muscles. Walk don't drive. If walking bores you, go window shopping at one of those huge malls. Or go into a big store and walk up one aisle and down the other just looking at stuff. That'll wear you out.

Don't eat sugary foods Don't drink soft drink Try to only drink water! And limit fruits to no more than 2 or 3 a day because they do have sugar do at least 30 min of cardiovascular activity (POWER walking, running, swimming etc) every day and build it up slowly to 45 min, then one hour every 3 days do situps .. check youtube for "8 minute ab workout" don't eat after 7PM have a big breakfast eat a lot of meals during the day but very very small portions every 2-3 hours that's how i lost 15kg !
