Is it time for a Law Class Action Law Suit on the Food Industry?
-
There was a major lawsuit against the tobacco industry for adding addictive junk, making it attractive to youngsters and literally destroying the lives of millions. So what is so different about our food industry? It adds addictive substances it entices youth to eat unhealthy foods. It places known carcinogens in the foods such as sugar and MSG. It’s advertising persuades thousands to overeat and become disabled. It manufactures the food in unhealthy ways such as frying rather than baking. It contributes to the high rate of heart attacks and cholesterol. Its advertising and marketing makes it almost imposable to parent children and direct their eating to more healthy foods. ETC., ETC. Since it is so market driven, It causes difficulties in finding healthy food. When you finally do you have to pay outrageous prices at health food stores. If there is some attorneys out there that wants to pursue this I am a willing client.

Answer:
It makes total sense to me... Count me in on the suit. I feel the food industry has gone way overboard and needs to be straightened out.. AND we need compensation for the damage they have done.

I believe people have gone too far with this issue. You do not have too watch the food commercials. You do not have to by the products. It is all done on free will. No one is making people by the products. Most know that the foods are unhealthy but still they choose to eat them. The when it becomes a problem everybody wants sue. That is why they have nutritional facts on the back of these products. I see that you use the Internet. The Internet is a good source for this kind of information. If this goes to court you will most likely lose. If you go to court with all the fact good or bad, that could also prove that you could have gotten healthier food choices from the Net. It is not difficult to find healthier foods. You just have to know how to cook a variety of healthy dinners and whatever else.

The law is not on your side. When the tobacco companies got sued, they had broken the law in a rather flagrant manner. Food manufacturers are actually obeying the law. This is really a simple problem to fix....change the law. Unlike the tobacco industry (a bunch of freaking criminal scum), food manufacturers OBEY the law. Change the law and they will immediately comply. Write your congressman.
