Should your weight be forward or back in powder?

Is Aftershock Recovery Protein Powder good for weight loss?

  • I am trying to lose weight this summer. I started off at 245 and now I'm at 210. I went to a sports nutrition store a couple of days ago and the guy there recommended Aftershock Recovery Protein Powder w/ creatine. I have been taking this for about a day now and some of my friends are telling me itll make me put on weight and I really need to lose weight because my goal by the end of summer is 180 but still build muscle. Is it ok?

  • Answer:

Common mistake that people think is totally correct: protein powders and such will make you gain muscle, not lose weight in ANY WAY. Muscle grows under fat (which is why those big muscley guys with lots of fat and muscle do not have sixpacks and why skinny dudes with no fat but some muscle have visible sixpacks) so the best way to lose weight is to do just that, and not gain muscle. After reaching your desired weight goal, then you should train and build up your muscle. Gaining muscle when trying to lose weight will only make ya look bigger. If you actually commit to eating healthy, exercising properly and on a regular basis, and sticking with it you will lose weight, almost guaranteed. Just make sure you know your limits and what you're doing.
