Is protein fat and what exactly is it?

What Can I Eat To Keep Off fat without sacrificing protein?

  • Hi my name is Sean and I work out for at least an hour and a half every day. I drink a lot of 2% milk because of the protein content, and I also eat a lot of lean meat on wheat bread. I do not eat a lot of junk food at all, maybe once a month if ever, but I still have a little more fat than I want. I don't have a lot of fat, I took a test and it said 6.5%, but I would like to get that lower without cutting out the protein. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas with what I could eat.

  • Answer:

Ok....you don't sound fat at all but here are some good sources of protein that I like! -Egg whites (low in calories...just 3 tbs has 25 cal. and 5g of protein..but that's like nothing so you would need to use more than that for a meal) -Tuna. I like the Starkist kind. A can has 2 servings, 13g of protein each. Just don't eat it more than once or twice a week, because tuna has lead in it. -Detour bars are great. I have the kind with only 6g of sugar. They have 180 calories and 15g of protein. They aren't the most filling, but they make a great snack or addition to a meal -Lowfat Sargento Light string cheese. One string cheese has 50 calories and 5 or 6g of protein (can't remember exactly). I like these a lot...they aren't disgusting like most string cheeses Those are just some of the ones off the top of my head. I'm sure you already know that chicken and salmon are good sources of protein as well. Oatmeal has some protein...and so does yogurt. And peanut butter is OK, in moderation.
