How can i get my teeth naturally white?

How can i get white spots off my teeth?

  • I have had 2 white spots on my 2 front teeth since i was younger, and i hated them! The dentist didnt know how i got them but I got clear braces at april this year and i love them because they are clear for one but they hide my 2 white spots! They were like this: http://www.fluoridealert.org/health/teet... I have grown very used to not seeing them (and so has people around me). But know i wont have the braces in for much longer and im getting upset because i dont want to take them off! I dont want to have 2 big white spots on my teeth (and they have probably got bigger because of the braces)..So im wondering if there is any way i can get of them?? Please Help!

A number of factors can lead to the development of white spots on teeth. Sometimes these spots are caused by nutrition, genetics, or an excessive intake of fluoride, while other times they become evident after braces have been removed. Some children also develop white spots on their teeth as they are developing. Usually white spots that appear on the teeth are actually areas of decalcified enamel and sometimes this problem can actually lead to the deterioration of teeth. Some dentists will tell you that the first evidence of tooth decay is a white spot lesion and by this description they mean that the tooth’s enamel has taken on an opaque color in the area where the cavity is beginning to form. White spots on the teeth can appear after changes have occurred in the mineral content of a person’s teeth (which often happens childhood and leads to eventual deterioration of enamel if left untreated). White spots can also appear in connection with a condition called fluorosis, which is the result of having an excessive intake of fluoride. People who live in areas where drinking water contains a high fluoride level often encounter this problem. Treatment options for white spots on teeth can include fluoride treatment, bonding and porcelain laminate placement depending on the severity of the problem. However, as you may already know any form of dental treatment can prove to be rather expensive. So simply introducing more calcium into your diet will, eventually, treat the spots. But if would prefer to opt for the quick treatment, go see your dentist.

Ask your dentist about maybe having your teeth filled in from the back or colored. I think you get discoloration like that from drinking too much soda. Also, just because you may see them doesn't mean everyone else is too. We are our own worst critics, so don't let something like that bother you too much. :)

Those white spots are an abnormality in the development of your enamel and are inside your teeth. Bleaching may not help, as it will make the surrounding enamel whiter but may also make the white spots even more whiter. Your best option is to have the white spots drilled away slightly and then filled with a composite material to match your front teeth or to have veneers or lumineers done on your tooth. Id opt for the composite as it is less invasive

I have the same problem. I think they are called calcium deposits, the white spots happened when your teeth were actually forming. I was once told by a dentist that if you whiten your teeth it might make the spots whiter. But I'm going to get a second opinion on that. My spots on my teeth only show up when my mouth is dry, like first thing in the morning or when I have a cold. From what I see the only way to fix them would be to have veneers put on your teeth, but that's expensive. I plan on doing it when I have the money. Good Luck!!

How about using tooth whitening while the braces are on? It would lighten the areas maybe a little closer to the shade of the spots.
