Why do I have bad breath?

Why does my breath smell so bad?!?! (white tongue)?

  • Today, I was going to school and noticed that my tongue has white spot ( Idk how to explain it...its like white) from back and front. Well..the front isn't all the way front but close to the front like 1cm from the edge. I brush my teeth twice a day. When I wake up I brush my teeth after I eat breakfast. I go to school. Then come back to my hw. After I shower around 10 I brush my teeth again. I wear retainers because I had braces. When I'm at school I always have thing werid thing where my tongue feels really funky. I feel like I have bad breath so I eat some mints(mini altoids). But after I'm done with the altoid, my breath feels worse. So I drink spring bottled water so my breath because I feel like my tongue is dried. I'm always afraid to talk because I feel like my breath stinks...so I lose pride about myself..I can't even smile... Can somebody help me? I don't know what to do.. how to make the stink go away and what product can I use to make my breath go away for sure and it doesn't stink during class. ps. I sleep about 5 to 6 hours everyday because of too much homwork.

i would suggest for you to buy a tongue scrapper. you can get them at your local store , or at walgreens, walmart ect.. at first it may feel a bit weird, and dry.. but you will notice a huge difference. and after you do that, just use a mouth wash, and you should be clear to go ... try that out. hope it wrks :)

Could be Halitosis.

Gav from Oz

often bad breath comes from digestive dysfunction which is often from nerve interference. see an hio method chiropractor.

Yes a tongue brush is good. Floss nightly. You could have tonsil rocks. They cause really bad breath. Brush your teeth right before bed otherwise all that bacteria grows while you sleep.

Most common causes of halitosis are actually found in the mouth itself – a bad tooth or abscess, tartar formation, mouth ulcers, inflamed and infected gums or decayed food caught between the teeth. Empty stomach, digestive disorders like infection of the digestive tract, constipation and infection of the stomach are some digestion related problems that make up the second most common list of causes of halitosis. The other usual suspects are smoking and alcohol Other lesser known causes of bad breath include diabetes, uremia, liver failure, chronic chest infections and sinusitis. Garlic and curry, and other similarly spiced up foods which basically contain onion, hot peppers and other spices. Spices tend to stay and re-circulate through essential oils they leave in your mouth. While there are plenty of short-term products such as gums and fresheners on the market, most do not last more than a couple of hours and tend to only mask the bad breath rather than address underlying causes. For this reason, many people are now turning to natural herbal and homeopathic ingredients such as Kali. Phos, Silica and Sweet Fennel to successfully help them with halitosis. Kali. Phos is well known for its antiseptic and cleansing properties and is effective at addressing putrefactive conditions such as halitosis, foul smelling flatulence and stools. Silica works by cleansing the cells of toxins and ridding the body of bad odors, while addressing some of the underlying causes of bad breath such as gum disease, sinus infections and mouth abscess. Lastly, sweet fennel has a long history of use for treating digestion problems and is a popular aid to sweeten the breath.
