What are the disadvantages of pulling teeth for braces?

  • I'm 15 and I'm getting braces, the orthodontist says that I may need to pull out 4 teeth. My mother is concerned on whether or not pulling teeth will cause my facial skin to sag when I'm 30 and whether or not pulling teeth will cause all my teeth to drop out when I become an elder. Generally, my mother and I want to know if there are any side effects of pulling teeth for braces.

You shouldn't allow the orthodontist to pull ANY healthy adult teeth for braces. There are now "no pull" Orthodontists. Pulling teeth is very old school. I hope this reached you in time.
