How much does a replace lower retainer cost?

How fast will teeth move if you are not wearing your retainer? and how much does it cost to replace one?

  • I have had my braces for almost a year and a half and I lost my retainer about maybe like 4 or 5 weeks ago. It's the 2nd time I have lost my retainer now and I'm pretty scared to inform my mom. But I atleast would like to know the price of the retainer before I tell my mom. But I'm also scared I will have to take new moldings or whatever they are called, if my teeth moved.

  • Answer:

Suck it up, do the adult thing, and tell your mom. Maybe you can help pay for a new one by doing some work around the house/yard/etc. If you don't wear your retainer your teeth are going to revert to where they were before the braces and all of your suffering with braces will be for naught. Good luck!!!

You need to tell your mom as soon as possible as your health is very important....

It is cheaper to get a new retainer than redo the entire process. Tell your Mom. She will probably yell (I did), but it is worth it.
