Does it hurt to get bone fragment taken out of wisdom teeth extraction site?

I feel your pain!! When I had mine out, I asked about the bone fragments and they said to let work their way out or whatever they do and they did sort out but to me, it took a really long time. After my whole gum healed, they would still pop up. if they have to pull them out, they have to re stitch up the site. I swear one of mine seemed like a toothpick sticking straight out and it did go away. But if you're worried about yours, make an appointment to have them see how you are healing. Be sure to use the irrigation syringe a lot so you don't get dry socket, that can cause a dull ache. Everyone I know seemed to get over their wisdom teeth removal in a day but it took me 2 weeks of looking like a chipmunk. I had 2 impacted teeth and 2 more that were normal. If I'd only gotten only the 2 impacted teeth out first, I would have NEVER gone back to get the other 2 done because I was so miserable for 2 weeks so don't feel bad, it'll get better.

First, we should know if it is a bone fragment or this is what u think, if it is a bone fragment, it is a sharp bone remaining after extraction, it should be covered by gums now, if so, it will heal and remodel but may take some time, just give it some time, if it didn't remodel, it is so easy to do it, may take no longer than 5 min, it will be as a very tiny wound, no need even for extra stitch for more info contact me as [email protected] (same for messenger)
