Why are my teeth turning grey?

Why are my teeth turning yellow ever since i got braces? :l?

  • Before i got my braces, my teeth were white, and now my teeth look ugly with yellow teeth and braces. I do brush my teeth 3 times a day, what should i do? thanks :)

    Ask your orthodontist what he recommends. Maybe he can bleach them or something. Ask him (or her) if you should use a Waterpik. Those are great for cleaning the areas that are hard to get to while wearing braces. Use a toothpaste with baking soda and give them a good thorough scrubbing once a day, in addition to your "regular" brushings. If you know other people who have braces and white teeth, ask how they keep them that way. Once your braces come off, the orthodontist can bleach your teeth and then they will be pretty, straight, and white! Good luck!

it must be due to the bracket attachment material use on the teeth. it can be cleaned & polished after the completion of your orthodontic treatment. in the meanwhile , just maintain a good oral hygiene & eat healthy diet.

This is probably because there are certain spots that are hard to brush because the braces are iinterferingwith your tooth brush.

Use a toothpick to carefully pick around your braces...its kind of gross but I used to have to do it. sometimes food gets trapped around the brackets and the toothbrush can't reach it
