What to do about my decalcification around my teeth?

I had decalcification spots on my two front teeth before i got composite resin put on them?

  • so does composite resin become part of your tooth or what?

  • Answer:

Your dentist probably placed the composite because the decalcification spots ran the risk of turning into actual cavities. They use a special bonding agent that adheres the composite to the tooth, so I guess you could say it is "part" of your tooth now. Composite resin does not last forever though, if you ever see any discolored areas around the edges of where it was placed, you should head back to your dentist!
