Extremely sensitive teeth, what could it be?

Why are my eye teeth so sensitive and what can I do about it?

  • I have braces. I went to the orthodontist a couple of weeks ago and they smoothed my pointy eye teeth down. I'm just now realizing how sensitive they are! Every time I touch my eye teeth with my toung, eat, or even brush my teeth its so sensitive! What can I do?!

  • Answer:

You can tell your dentist of this and see if they can do anything about it. If I understand this right, by smoothing it down they wore down the enamel? Well, there's an amazing toothpaste (that I use myself, and it's wonderful) by Arm N Hammer. It's Enamel Strengthening. This is probably what you need to rebuild your enamel so it won't be so sensitive. If you're sensitivity is going to the root of your tooth, you may have little 'openings' / 'passages' / 'holes' that lead from the outside of your tooth to the inside. Sensodyne helps a lot with this.
