Is Baking Soda Good For Whitening Teeth?

Whitening teeth with baking soda.....and braces?

  • I am geting braces on Tuesday, and I was wondering if it would be ok to brush with baking soda today so that they're whiter and keep doing this about every month to maintain it. Would this leave yellow squares on my teeth when I get them off? I'm thinking I should just wait until I get them off, but I know my teeth are going to look so nasty with braces because my teeth already look so bad. I have naturally yellow teeth ( I don't drink soda or coffee, or eat tons of sugar, and I brush my teeth 3x a day) so I doubt it would even work, but still, I know it's gonna bug me a lot! Any advice? Also, what color bands should I get? Thank you so much =)

    No don't I tried just go buy some whiting strips Creast whiting strips your teeth should be white in 3 days keep them on for 30 minute it helps remember get the advanced ones the cost like $40-$100 I think

something to ask your dentist, maybe they will know a toothpaste you can use instead of baking soda I don't see why it would hurt it though to try and colors, best stay away from black, it looks more like a cavity then color if you do that so maybe pink and orange, or blue and green (these are bright colors I'm talking about too, not the dull ones) Good luck hope all works out :):)
