How do I get rid of this metallic taste in my mouth?

How do you get rid of the bad taste in your mouth?

  • I've been having this bad taste in my mouth since about last week. It sorta tastes like when I took a bite out of an "old" tortilla in my fridge. Now whenever I eat something, I get that same taste in my mouth even though I ate that tortilla a long time ago. How do I get rid of the bad taste? I brush my teeth everyday, so it can't be bad breath. But it seems like I can't eat anything without tasting that bad taste instead of my food. Help me? And I'm afraid to go to the doctor because they'll scrape the back of my throat with a cue tip.

  • Answer:

this taste is coming from your sinuses and stomach - go on a cleansing diet of fruit for a few days - no bread or dairy - no meat - lots of fresh water with a squeeze of lemon

Other answers

If the above doesn't work then I would check the medications, if you are taking any, google them and read about that effect. Do you floss? Food, especially sugary foods, only need a few hours in the dark mouth to cause horribly bad breath. Floss very well. Brush thoroughly but do not press hard. Scrape the stuff off your tongue and rinse with a strong mouthwash (not the flavored minty kind) like Listerine.
