Would I still need braces after tooth implant?

Seventeen with baby tooth, will I need braces?

  • I'm 17 years old, and STILL haven't had braces. Sometime this year, my dad was going to get me Invisalign (because no 17/18yr old wants braces). BUT, the problem is, I still have a baby tooth. It never became loose on its own, so I think I'm gonna have to get it pulled(and then have my adult tooth come in) before I can get Invisalign to get my teeth straightened. But, when you get a baby tooth pulled, will the adult tooth then come in on its own? Or will I have to get braces to pull the adult tooth down?( < I recently heard someone say this) I desperately do not want braces at this age, but I also desperately want my teeth straightened(Preferably with Invisalign). Will I have to get braces to pull down the adult tooth once the baby tooth is pulled? Or do they do it a different way? How long until the adult tooth comes down once the baby tooth is pulled?

  • Answer:

You need to talk with an orthodontist. You have very specific teeth issues that need to be addressed by a professional. Ask your dad to make an appointment for a free consultation.
