How much does a dentist make in Canada in average?

Will I even make it into Dental School with this?

• So I always had family problems my whole life and I went through several depression stages. In High School, all I did was play video games and I didn't care about life. In my fourth year of community college (couldn't pay for school) I realized what I want in life, and what I want to do. I have been depressed because I lack success. I look up to people (get jealous at times) who have achieved success through education, and I want some of that success. My dream is to make it into Orthodontics but I have really messed up and I' m not sure if I'll be able to get in! These will be my qualifications. Will they get me into Dental School, help me become an Orthodontist, and open up a private practice one day? I want to work as a Dentist under someone else first, then become an Orthodontist and work in a private practice. People all my life have discouraged me and said I will never make it. *3.45 GPA *Internship at a Biology Laboratory *Job Shadowed as a Dentist *17 Score on Dental Admission Test *Volunteered at Retirement Home serving food to Old People *Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Santa Clara University (BS) *Six Letters of Recommendation from Science Professors *Was a Psychology Club Member at my College *Managed a Restaurant for Six Years *Multilingual *Biggest Hobby is World Traveling and Have been to 30 countries (I'm not sure if this matters) ***Hopefully when I do make it as an Orthodontist in the United States, I want to take the job with me to beautiful Canada...my dream place to live (Vancouver Area)

  possibly, but your GPA is low to average and your DAT is exactly the 50th percentile--and about 1/3 of all applicants will get in somewhere apply to a LOT of different schools and hope one picks you. Definitely try Creighton and some of the other schools that don't get as many applicants. ortho residencies only care about dental school grades and exams--nothing from undergrad.
