Do "Crest Whitestrips classic" really work?

Do crest whitestrips work?

  • I wanna buy the standard crest whitestrips for a 10 day treatment, is it worth it? Do they work?

  • Answer:

Hydrogen peroxide is used in all whitening procedures from home whitening to in-office whitening. The concentration of hydrogen peroxide varies and determines the level of whitening achieved with one regiment. Whitestrips will whiten your teeth, but everyone reaches a different level of whitening. If one box doesn't get you as white as you'd like, you may try a second round. Start out by only using strips on the top for the first three days. This will allow you to see if you are getting results, because you can use the lower teeth for comparison. Three days won't be drastic, but at least you'll be able to tell that it's working. If you do top and bottom at the same time, you can't really tell they're changing, so you don't think the product is working. Your teeth may become sensitive with bleaching. I recommend using a sensitivity toothpaste for two weeks prior to whitening and continue using it during the whitening cycle. You can get a special toothpaste known as ClinPro5000 that works great for remineralizing the enamel broken down during the whitening process. Call your dental office and they should be able to help you.
