Why is Wilson's mouth always covered up?

Mouth sore from braces? swelling of jaw line?

• I recently got braces and a big sore developed in my mouth. its been irritating for a couple of weeks, but just recently my jaw on the same side started swelling up and became numb? is this just a cause of the sore irritation, or something else? i covered the place causing the sore with wax, and after a couple of hours after holding an ice pack to my mouth, it went down. but then i drank juice, and it swelled for a few minutes then went down? i guess im a little paranoid...but my mom had a gland stone one time and made her mouth swell when she drank or ate. the whole side of her face blew up.. so, any advice or help? thanks!

  I've had braces for like 4 months now, it is very soar in the beginning but i never had soars, my gums did swell up a bit because it wasn't use to the braces but if the soar is really bad i suggest you have your mom call your orthodontist and ask them for there advice. Hope i helped
