There are 2 ways - 1) if you're real lucky a dentist will take you under his/her wings and train you on the job. This will cost you nothing and you will be paid; 2) go to a dental assisting school which will cost money and there are no guarantees that you will have a job when you graduate.

Coming a dental assistant will take exactly two things. Time and money. If you really want to be one you have to be willing to work for it. Life isn't easy and people aren't just gonna give you your dream job and pay checks. Don't be lazy and go to a good school.
