Will my elastic bands for braces stop hurting?

I just got rubber bands on my braces, and they hurt really bad?!!?

Okay, so yesterday I went to my orthodontist and they gave me the rubber bands, and said I have to wear them 24/7, but take them off when I eat and brush my teeth. My ortho also said that my teeth are moving really fast, and I get my braces off soon, before summer. But I have a problem. My teeth are hurting SO bad right now. :( I really hate the rubber bands.. so how long do you think I have to wear them? And.. how do I stop the pain? Is it normal? Thanks!

Been there done that . Sorry no way of making the pain go away unless you take some kind of pin killer but only works for a few hours u could try Tylenol to help out with the pain a little. Keep them on untill your next appointment make the dentist job easier . If you don't ware them he/ she will tell you to ware them the next month untill they see the results they are expecting. Fight trew it your almost done with the whole process ..

i had those on for a while and yes they do hurt :/ i had to wear thick ones at one point and it hurt so bad, i just took advil when it hurt real bad but its normal. i took them out here and there only like 1-2 times a week cuz they did ache my teeth and now im done with the rubber bands. i dont recommend taking them off here and there but if u want to i guess u can
