How Do I get Rid Of Pain Associated with Braces?
-
I just got braces a day ago, and nothing has worked. Advil and Tylenol aren't working and ice cream only works for a few minutes and then it starts hurting again. When will this pain go away?

Answer:
Braces will hurt for the first few days after you get them, and for about a day whenever you get them tightened (it hurts more if they make you wear rubber bands). What always helped me was constantly biting down on something or chewing on something, kinda like when a baby teethes they bite everything. Obviously it's not good for you to chew gum or chew on candy, but I would find myself just chewing on pens and random pieces of plastic. Yeah, people might find it weird or gross, but you'll only have to do it for a couple days while your mouth is achy.
