How often should I brush my teeth with baking soda?

How safe is it to brush my teeth with hydrogen peroxide and baking soda?

  • Out of the two, it is baking soda that causes the most damage, right? Around how many times, without causing too much damage to my teeth, should I brush my teeth with this combination? Has anyone tried this?

  • Answer:

baking soda is an abrasive commonly sound is tooth paste Hydrogen peroxide is a bacteriacidal agent. These are both found is toothpaste... I don't know how damaging it would be. If you are using a small quantity of both I would think every other day would be fine. Please do not swollow it and the floride in tooth paste is very important, make sure you still brush with a floridated tooth paste a lot.

I wouldn't try combining the two. If you want to use baking soda to brush your teeth, try making a paste out of it with water. It should be harmless, I never heard of anyone getting hurt from baking soda, but I wouldn't swallow it either. You could rinse your mouth afterward with peroxide, but I wouldn't do that but maybe once or twice a week. Peroxide is strong stuff and could cause blisters in your mouth if used too much.
