A sore and a lump on roof of mouth: what is it?

I have a small hard lump on the roof of my mouth: what is it?

  • It's small, hard, smooth, and as far as I can tell the same colour as the rest of the roof of my mouth. If I press lightly against it with my tongue is hurts, and also when I eat I can feel a slight pain. It is not an awful pain, and I've only really noticed the lump in the past two days. I do remember something that I've ignored over the years hough, every now and again I've had a similar pain on the roof of my mouth, but without the lump.

    I don't know but you need to see a dentist. Pain is an indication something is wrong.
