Is Pen Ink bad or toxic?

I'm pretty sure that a steady diet of pen ink would not be good for you; I doubt that consuming ink in the situation you describe would be all that toxic. Here's something to consider. Lots of inmates in jail or prison get tattoos while in jail. Some of these are quite extensive. All are made with pen ink. The death rate from the ink is zero.

i anit a dentist but the same thing happened to me u just have to brush ur tounge and use alot of mouth wash he taste will eventually go

It wont kill you, this once off thing is just gonna make you feel a bit off for a bit.. and look a bit funny lol.... Ink poisioning only occurs if a lot gets into your bloodstream. Goodluck!

wow. um, read the label on a pen similar to it, most pens are nontoxic but you never know. you should be fine. just brush your teeth and tounge, and rinse with listerine.

First, why would you put a pen in your mouth in the first place! But I can bet your mouth is totally blue and will stay that way for a while. I would make sure I did not swallow this stuff from the pen. I don't think it is toxic as the pen-makers must know that we have people that will do what you did. I don't know how long the blue/black will last..to be sure--go to a Dr or ask a pharmacist (they are 2nd best to Dr.'s) to find out if this is harmful to you. Wondering tho' have you learned from this experience?

its ok i done it to only i was trying to fire ink across the room but any way just like put water in ya mouth swill it arount then spit it in a sink then thats it nothing will happen even if you did leave it you would be fine but it would taste horrible.

Don't worry. The ink will flow through and the amounts are not large enough to harm you. If taken in larger amounts, ink is toxic. This is the time for mouthwash. Or anything else you like. I always like it when someone shows concern for their teeth. You did good to rinse and spit.
