How do you brush your teeth?

How come people who don't brush their teeth don't get cavities?

  • My brother NEVER brushes his teeth. Maybe a few times a year, it's pretty gross, but he has like one or two cavities. He is 18. My boyfriend doesn't brush everyday, he does it probably a few times a week I bet, and usually its in the morning and never at night. He is 21 and he has NO cavities. On the other hand, I literally have like seven or eight cavities, and I brush my teeth everyday, morning and night, and I also floss and use mouthwash. I don't really drink pop (they both do) I drink it when I go out to dinner sometimes but usually I have water and sometimes tea. Why is this?? My brother thinks his plaque has put like this protective layer around his teeth that protects it from rotting or something. Lol he is silly but could there be some truth to this? FYI: when I was young I didn't brush my teeth a lot.. I figured that might have something to do with it but I started to do it a lot more in elementary school around when I was 10 years old (someone told me my breath wasn't good so that kind of hit me as a reason to start) So this might be, but I mean, if I didn't brush that much when I was little, I figured my brother and my boyfriend probably didn't do it too much different than I did. Could it be just genes or luck (or lack of) that I happened to get cavities?

    That is really sick. But he most likely doesn't go to the dentist to find out if he has cavities either.

ok this is strange. i brush my teeth every night and ALMOST every morning. my sister brushes every morning and night, flosses, mouth washes, and when we went to the dentist she had 4 cavities and i had nonne! i found out that that middle of her tooth went down farther and it was harder to reach so thats why she had them and i didnt. idkk!

tell ya what lady stay away from sugary things and things that r bad 4 ur teeth, brush them 3times a day. and tell ur boyf to scrub his teeth or u wont kiss him and the same for your brother but leave the kiss him bit out. and go to the dentits if your teeth are that bad

how does someone not brush their teeth everyday...i brush it EVERYDAY (except nights) cause i would feel extremely dirty and smelly if i didnt brush my teeth in the morning

luck my friend, i get cavities all the time and i wash my teeth, but my sister is lucky to do it once a year and shes only had 1 cavity, i hope she doesnt get any but its like what the hell hope that gave you some consolation

genetics.ive seen families..like 2 brothers and 2 sisters...3 of them never brush and have no cavities..and then the last unfortunate soul..has like 10...escape goat..=( but ido believe genetics have a big role in it..and of course, what ur mommy ate and drank when she was pregnant with u..or the copuntry u grew up in

i brush my back teeth for like a solid minute on each side and i also brush the insides and not just the teeth go for the gums also and hard on the back ones...those are your primary chewing teeth

idk. i brush my teeth and i have no cavities... that i know of.... but anyway... my little sister doesnt brush very much and she dosnt have cavities either... i dont know!
