    If you have baking soda and peroxide you can make a paste and use it to brush your teeth. It tastes like &@~) but will work. Go to the dollar store or even just brush (without paste) and floss and rinse well with water. That will work just as well.

With the money you'd need for ingredients to make do-it-yourself toothpaste, you might as well buy the toothpaste. Just get the cheapest one, store own brand usually. If you really can't afford that, beg for a wee while - you'll only need 50p or so. And if that seems too demeaning, just brush without toothpaste until you get some 'meny'. And ask someone on the street for a stick of gum.
