Sharp pain in my tooth, help?

Pain and swelling of my Cheek due to one of my back tooth pain. Please help me!!! I feel like dyin?

• I have had a root canal and crown put on my tooth about 4 years ago and everything was fine until recently the past week first I started feeling slight pain in my back tooth what I thought is due to me at night putting too much pressure with my upper teeth against this bottom tooth when I go to sleep. After a couple of days the pain started getting worser and now my cheek where the tooth is and surrounding gums are iritated and my cheek more near my jaw is swollen and hurts. My dentist is out of town until tomorrow so I will go, but for now I just want to get some advice from you as to what caused this? Don't forget this is a root canal/crowned tooth and it doesn't look like the crown is loose on it, I have been taking advil to relieve the pain, but this swelling is just killing me and is embarrasing it feels like a golf ball in there and hurts. Can you please help me out. Thank you so much

  I have a pain in my back tooth also. It happened again today. I needed a root canal but they tried to fill it. I have three on each back side of my mouth. Sometime I think my teeth break off and little parts get hung. I know it sounds silly. This morning I brushed and brushed my teeth, about three times. Now I feel better. Sometimes I think the pain is caused by inflamation. Try this and maybe you'll feel better untill you see the dentist.
