What is a dental assistant career really like?

• i like to be a dental assistant sometimes but am i to old to be working as one i'm almost 29 i hate wasting my life that way. will i be able to afford a house in the future if i work as a dental assisant. i like to afford dental hygenist school but they are poor in demand in some areas and the cost of the program is alot then dental assistant program. I like to have children someday also but if 2 ppl with low income can't afford it what can i do? i like to know if dental assisant is right for me this is theonly career choice i really love to do.

  Yes, this would be a fine career. It's very satisfying, you learn a lot, and once you have experience, you can earn a nice living. And "almost 29" is not "too old"!! Go into the field, you will be able to have a house, a family, and a nice life!
