A sore and a lump on roof of mouth: what is it?

Lump on roof of mouth and sore throat?

  • It's been there for at least a year now. I went and got it checked out by my dentist and he said it was some kind of tumor, and sent me to a specialist. When I went there he said he couldn't feel it... but i was sure there. Its on my left side. I recently had surgery to remove a tooth that was stuck in the roof of my mouth, on the same side of the bump. ever since then this bump has been getting bigger and painful when i touch it with my tounge. I can no longer eat hard food for fear that it will get hit and be painful. For the last 3 days I've been getting a sore throat, only on my left side. I looked at the bump and it takes over 1/2 the roof of my mouth and is redish/purpleish. can someone tell me whats going on if you have ANY idea?! thank you so muchh!
