Is it hard to become a dental assistant?

I am looking to become a Dental Hygienist or a Orthodontist Assistant!?

  • Hi, thank you viewing post. I am currently going to be a junior in high school. I really want to pursue a career in Dental Hygienist or Orthodontist Assistant. I know I need to take chemistry, Biology, classes dealing with medicine and how it effects the body. I would like know... Has anyone taken the (DAT) Dental Admissions Test? If so, do you have any tips or certain classes that helped? I do understand majoring in science could give me higher chances in the field. Is there a particular science? If you complete the dental assistant program is it much further to complete an orthodontist assistant program? Also, I am going to be going to college in Idaho If you know of any school's that offer the best dental programs please let me know

  • Answer:

If you want to be an ortho assistant you dont need school for that! Just look online for ortho assisting jobs or apply to local orthodontic offices. They can train you on the job.
