How to solve a rubik's cube?

Can somebody explain how to solve a rubiks cube?

  • I've been bored lately, so I thought I'd try to solve this rubiks cube I found in my basement. I've been trying for about a month on my own, but so far I've just made a scrambled mess. Recently, I tried looking up methods to solving the cube, and I found a bunch of them. Problem is, I don't understand the way they explain it. Can somebody please give me a version I can understand, or give me a website that has a simple version? (Note: The main place I found that had it was Wikibooks, but it still was just as confusing as everything else)
