Are buckyballs hard or soft?

Is this true about buckyballs?

• Ok so i am getting buckyballs for xmas when i heard that they tarnish easily. COuld you please give me a honest review if you have buckyballs preferably if you've had them for a month or more to see if they've tarnished. Thanks!

  Buckyballs can and will tarnish. They are made of metal and metal unfortunately does in many cases tarnish. The silver are the most likely to tarnish. If they tarnish within 60 days of purchase, you can get them replaced by e-mailing [email protected]. You will need your original receipt, name, shipping address, date of purchase, place of purchase, and the number of tarnished buckyballs to be replaced included in the e-mail that you send. The best thing to do, if you still want buckyballs is to take care of them, to prevent tarnishing. One of the ways that you can do this is to purchase an inexpensive pack of white chalk at your local discount store such as Walmart. Break the chalk in half and put a half piece of chalk in each end and in the center of the case where your buckyballs are being stored. Make sure that your buckyballs are stored in an airtight container. The chalk absorbs the moisture in the container and prevents the silver on the buckyballs from tarnishing. There are many ways to store buckyballs to prevent tarnishing. One way is to put them in Ziploc bags, remove the air from the bags, and seal the bags tightly. If the bags have any holes in them you should throw them away, as the holes will allow air to get to the buckyballs and cause them to tarnish. The other thing that you can do is wrap the set of buckyballs inside of a Silver Tarnish Cloth (called Pacific Cloth in some states). This will prevent the buckyballs from tarnishing.
