How to modify lights in a RC car?
-
Hi there, I recently bought a new RC car to play around with when I get bored. So when it goes forward or backward on your command, lights light up (Sherlock Holmes haha!) I want to change that. I want to replace the back lights to white LED's and make them go on when I reverse. And the front lights to be constantly on. I may make them blue idk yet. Is there any way I can do that?

Answer:
It's probably possible. If the car is fairly large and has discrete electronics not some tiny sealed circuit, you may be able to find a circuit trace that goes live in reverse. You may need some simple logic like inverters or amplifiers to drive the LEDs. You'd need basic skill at soldering and electronics.
