The Easiest Way To Solve A Rubiks Cube?
-
hi, can someone give me a link to a really easy to follow solution tutorial video for the rubiks cube? or a written tutorial thats easy to follow and understand.

Answer:
Best video that helped: Type in "How to Solve a Rubik's Cube" on Youtube, click the first video in the link (it's the one where a guy says "Hey World! I'm going to help you solve one of the world's biggest mysteries, the Rubik's Cube." Best written tutorial that helped: Type in rubiks.com, click on the link to the written tutorial (it's pretty easy to find once you're on the site). ** Please Note: You really need BOTH of the above tutorials to help you solve it. If you only use one of the two, there are some parts you may have difficulty with because of how the person explains it. However, if you use BOTH strategies, you will be able to solve it. The first time I solved a rubik's cube, I used ONLY those 2 tutorials, which took me approx. 1 hour Now it takes me about 4 minutes.

I recommend you search for "badmephisto" on youtube. While his beginner's tutorial may not be the easiest. It will defiantly help if you ever decide to learn the Fridrich method. If this isn't for you, look for "pogobat" on youtube and follow his tutorial(This tutorial was mentioned earlier. The "hello World" guy). That is how I learned. Good Luck

Well the easiest solution to learn and understand is the layer-by-layer method, but it is not fast (if you want fast, use Fridrich). There are many layer-by-layer tutorials in the Rubik's Academy on rubiks.com. The basic idea of the layer by layer method is to solve the first layer by making a cross with 2 colors matching up under each edge, then place the correct corners. To solve the middle layer, you simply use one of two algorithms which you must memorize. There are quite a few different methods for the last layer, even for beginners. When you go on rubiks.com you can find them out and see what you like.
